Been shooting when I can. but life decided battling brain cancer wasn't enough of a challenge for me, so handed me the 'rona last Friday. Needless to say, taking photos was shelved for a bit. Starting to feel better, so hopefully I can get back on track after my radiation treatments are done on Thursday. At that point I get a few weeks off to heal up and they can get a fresh brainscan to see if we knocked this stuff back on its heels or not.
Hope you get better soon, thoughts and prayers for you.

The title of today’s thread…
I took a look and I don’t see this in any of the tools I have access to as a moderator but I have asked the moderation team if it is something we can correct.

It was me! I used the Tamron-F AF 2X Pz-AF BBAR MC7 Teleconverter with the SDM DA* 16-50mm f/2.8. I posted a couple of samples in my flickr account. I still have pending to do the same with the SDM DA* 55-135mm f/2.8. Hopefully this week I will take the shots and prepare a post with all the samples during the weekend or the next at latest.

I was very happy to learn that the "X" factor was not of 2X but for around 1.3X, meaning that FOV of 16mm with the TC on the FF was equivalent to the FOV of 21mm in the APSC-C aprox. with the loss of about 1.5 stops. but with no vignetting at all, so to me that was a win all around.
Does autofocus work on your copy?

Yes it does. But all my lenses are (or were converted to) screwdrive except the 55-300mm PLM, which I din't try until now that you asked, and find out it does not work with the PLM, so I'm guessing that probably it won't work with SDM either since the TC is from the screwdrive only era.

Thanks! Seems like a high quality TC regardless, my copy arrived today. I may temporarily convert the 16-50 to screwdrive (after double checking to make sure I'm correct it's reversible lol).

My internet is out and I can’t seem to be able to post on my phone. I will try again to post in the thread and comment tomorrow. My picture did manage to load to Flickr but I can’t get the code to imbed it into the thread.
