#80 Serving coffee

This fellow was serving coffee at the information day of the university a week ago. I find it quite hard to make interresting pictures of this kind of work. There is hardly any action, there is nothing special to it. So in this one I tried a different composition, slightly from behind. Don't know if the result is acceptable. Besides this, there is some strange lighting in right hand down corner. No idea what it is....

Two last pictures very pleased. And my wife is surprised that it just sits after a sewing typewriter. It passes to your wife enormous hello and hopes that you no longer will grow from the pantaloons
Excellent photo!

Drmartin, greeting from me and my wife, also to your wife. I will try not to eat to much . Well, to be honest, I ruined my trousers in barbed wire when I was doing field work for my research....

Thanks for the positive feedback!

#81 Botanist

It's getting harder to make photos for my Man at work project, because I feel I made pictures of all the obvious people. So, I have to find other sources, and I started to make some appointments to make photos in the next weeks. Another reason that holds me back from photographing workers is my own time schedule: my field season has started more or less, and that leaves me less time to look around freely for photo opportunities. However.... there are allways my collegues, who are willing subjects (still). Yesterday, we visited a beautifull old forest remnant, where we did some field work. This is one of my collegues, doing some plant determination.

#82 Film crew

I told you before in this thread that they are working on a new bridge at the river. Today the first pier of this new bridge was placed, and the place was full of crowd. Among them this film team, and I couldn't resist.....

I've been lurking, enjoying this series so much. #81 Botanist is a wonderful shot, and much like those illustrations in the books of my grandfather.

Drmartin is so right, it is hard to step into street photography without apprehension. I think I appreciate these images all the more so for knowing that fear.

#83 Morning at the wayside restaurant

I had an appointment with my collegues at a wayside restaurant early in the morning, but due to some trouble with the car of one of them they arrived a hour late. Had some coffees, and some opportunities to make photos. This young lady made fresh orange and grapefruit juice.

#84 At the bridge pier

Today I made some more photos at the new bridge they are building. There is so much to see, and now they are busy with heavy equipment, and that is what I like! However, it's hard job making good photos of it, where people are the core of the picture.... Since this project is mainly mentioned as learning project, I still keep trying, and hope you will forgive me with this returning topic

I had some other problem today concerning this project. I had three keepers, and it was quite hard to choose between them. Besides, I made several different post processings, which made it even harder to choose. In the end I chose this photo, in a somehow extreme B&W conversion, but I also loved the CS-CE conversion (one of Mithrandirs presets....). I will post that one in another thread....

To make things short: here is the one for today!

#85 At the bridge

The last one is from Friday, so I have to post something here in order to keep myself satisfied. For tomorrow I've got totally different plans, but today I did some more 'bridge shooting', like Friday and before....

#86 Levelling

This one is a quite a crop of a larger one, with a distracting foreground.

Rense, I was thinking of you when I took these shots. Not my cup of tea, but fun none the less.
