We went to the national railway museum today with the family. This is the man at the ticket service, in the historical station of Utrecht Maliebaan.

Last morning - very early - my sister, her husband, and 2 children went to Homer, Alaska for a year. We had a good-bye party with our family last Friday, which we ended with a dinner in a small restaurant. Todays photo is from the kitchen in this restaurant.

Isn't that always the way, you live close and rarely see one another, then miss one another when you're far apart! At least you have a good excuse to go visit Alaska...

Last week I spent several days on the small island Vlieland, at our northern coast in the Wadden Sea. These man are regulating the traffic flow up and off the ferry...from time to time....

While we were waiting for the boat, we had a beer. And an opportunity to shoot this guy. Next time, I have to frame him a bit wider, so I have to sit in the corner of the terrace (or take another lens...)

This is a kind of labour that is lacking in my collection until now. There is so little opportunity to shoot fishermen, and when there is, it is only from a distance

. But I like these shots anyhow, and I will look for a possibility to get closer one day...
