#37 Correcting exams

This is my wife, correcting exams. She's an assistant professor at the Wageningen University, where she works as an epidemiologist. She worked all weekend on correcting exams....
I thought this one was best in a sepia tone, and I really busted contrast, to loose some distracting details in the background. And working home has one advantage over doing so in university: there's beer!

Two last pictures pleased me. On the first, me it seems to, on the left of figure, much black, which does not add the picture of order. If to cut off black, then an accent will be displaced on beer and figure of woman, the main will be selected that is in fotografii- "beer gives forces much to work in the evening" . The idea of the second picture very interesting and it can be supported by treatment -to clean all superfluous and to select main - grate by the game of light. An idea will be designed in appearance: "man behind bars" If will allow, I would offer variants as I see your pictures. you will excuse that I "I climb with the laws in a stranger monastery"

Hi Rense - I really like the "working-class" images you have captured so far (the street-maker, the bricklayers series and the one from today, for example. Some very nice shots, and the B&W makes them feel more "timeless".
Keep up the great work!

Thanks Tim! The captures you mention are among my favorites so far. It's getting harder to find new, and especially original subjects allready.... But my hope is also on warmer wheather, when more people are out. And probably I have to go to some industrial plants or so, to get some other shots also . Time will learn...

#39 Electro technician

This is a somewhat puzzling capture, without perspective in the foreground, which makes it quite difficult to focus. This technician is installing safety gates in a new building which is being built near our institute. I like the cleanness of this surrounding, in contrary to several former photos I had in this thread.

Beautiful shot, the colour is so natural so viewing your photo is just like looking out a window.

Dear Douglas, thanks for your comments. Although this is not a perfect photo by far in terms of composition etc. I like it for the reason you mention.

#40 Flowers!

This morning, before I went to work, I visited the market in Wageningen, the city where our institute is. I made some photos, and I decided to try something different. Because a market is such a colourfull place, it seemed a waste to get rid of this attraction. So, I desaturated the photos, but not totally. Next days I will post some of the photos I made this morning and which I treated this way.

For now, a picture of Gerberas. The man selling these is OOF, but this time it is intentional..... Hope you like this one.

Hello, Rense! I want to ask: in your country is it accepted to ask permission to take pictures a man? How do people behave to that you them take pictures?

Well drmartin, sometimes I ask, and sometimes not. But if I ask people, they almost always say yes. I did not ask the man of photo 40 however, and he just went on working. So, most of the time it is no problem!
