I used to miss summer too, until I realized I didn't need summer to go biking.

I know you don't need summer to go biking. I ride during the winter, just not so fast or far, and not on my good bike (the chemicals they use to keep the roads clear here are awful. The leather on my hiking shoes gets all dry and cracked much sooner than it should). The thing about summer is the lack of requirements for living; I can sleep out in the open and snack on plants that grow by the road and fill a bottle with creekwater and a purifier tablet and hop in the lake and not have to worry about anything. During the summer the bike is the embodiment of freedom to me. The winter has different requirements, first and foremost the requirement for warmth. Riding generates heat, but you can't ride 24/7, so a destination is a definite requirement. Food invariably becomes an expense as well. The exercise is still there; just not the independence.

This is a photo that begs for an explanation. It looks like a real-life "Reno 911."

whoah, I browsing the thread, page by page. I had the urge to post or react to a photo every now and then.
Let me say, this was just too much.

UGH!
Actually, was thinking, better the rear than the front.
Great capture, Blue! 7 months late.

Not that I know of... It appeared half a year ago in the front of the house. I belive the owner did not have any more space for it in the house and decided that it can stay outside with other bicycles
