Another cool pic Matt, are you watching the Tour De France? It has been epic, the sprints, the mountain stages and the Roubaix stage seen me glued to the TV like never before!

Thanks!
No I'm not. I used to be a fan but they lost me over the years. Is it on regular broadcast TV? I might check out a little of there was some coverage I could pull over the air.

Your friend is a savage! 😁 Of course I understand he needs to do these things to feel somewhat 'normal' and a good self kicking is the only way I can ever feel relaxed and happy. Give him my respect!
By the way, Jefe is coming back from wrist surgery and doing his first bike packing race in a couple of years soon. The Colorado Trail Race starts in a week or so and Jefe as well as another friend, Liz will be racing. Trail time is somewhere around 5-6 days for the fastest folks.
I may try to intercept and get some photos again if the timing works out when they come through this area.

Hi Matt, the TDF was on freeview TV in the UK/Ireland as are other grand tours. Only the one-day classics are not on freeview.

Good luck to your mate doing those savage endurance races but they love it anyway Looking forward to seeing your photos here, thanks.

Here is my MTB which still looks as good as new because I barely use it, I just love the road bike way too much...

I don't think my mountain bike has looked that clean since the day I got it!

Jefe just got second on the CTR and I think Liz is going to be first woman later today. She is at mile 499 right now!

I may use it more someday if I move to remote parts, at least I'll not have to buy one. Well done Jefe! 😀

What I've been riding for the past 29 years vs what I used to ride (Hetchins "Magnum Opus").

Love the retro Hetchins, and I always loved the Reynolds tubing stickers. I started on cheap 501 tubing and always envied 531 special, and 753. First senior year racing I got a 653 frame and did quite well on it, even won a criterium with it.

Never tried the 753/653 tubing. Everyone wants carbon fiber, today. Not even sure what Reynolds is producing now...?

An update on the CTR:
Jefe did get second and poor Liz had a mechanical in the last few miles. Her hub blew up to the point of the rear wheel no longer being able to spin so she tried to carry her bike the last 13 Miles and wound up quitting. Poor girl!
I bet she will be back with a vengeance!
