Dark, busy, odd framing, it looks like there is a huge vignetting, but I can't help looking at this one.

This is a normally pleasant spot, a small flowing stream in a town park but with some rain and rapid snow melt it really gets to raging. I tried to capture the flow of the raging water but the gusty winds must have jiggled my tripod just enough to motion blur the whole shot. For whatever reason though, I kind of like this botched one.

Here are two of the one subject, both of which are a bit of a disaster. I like the subject matter, and the intention was to get the water drips with the backlit highlight.

Flare and exposure messed it all up. I didnt have a lot of time on that attempt, so my intention is to have another go at the subject.
Still, I like the subject matter.

So wrong: what happens after a couple of really good martinis and you go for a walk on the beach with your camera. 1.5 seconds, asa800, on a rickety tripod, the wind and my steadiness didn't help. But somehow I like the mood.

I like Martini, but Averna or Ramazotti is for me. Congrats for the K100D and heroic lights in the photo :-)

Here I flipped the camera down to look at the display after a long handheld exposure, just too early.

Actually you can see the different pulse on the lights. Porst Color Reflex MC 1.4/55 on K100D

Happy holidays, Georg (the other)

I'll Play too....

I took this at my daughters wedding (probably after a little to much scotch) but I love the interaction between daughter and father. I is one of my favorite shots from the whole wedding. I added some texture to the image to try and reduce the blur.

Play "Misty" for Me

I feel uniquely qualified to contribute flawed photos.

Here's 3 "mist" shots. Taken at the Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane on 31/01/2009. The parkland has an automated sprinkler system that runs early in the morning. It must turn on at 7 am. My 7 y.o. son Kaiea & I noticed the mist and tried for some atmospheric shots, but there was too much light around. Worth trying again at the same time of the day, but at a different time of the year.

And I don't think he quite understood the ghoulish look I was after. It is hard for a little boy in shorts & sandals to look menacing!!!

Dan.

some really great 'mistakes' for me well I have to go all the way back to last night to find one .

I was changing lenses and then all of sudden I heard this squaking behind me. I quickly put the lens back on snapped off one before it was over.

Well let's see what is wrong with this shot ? Bad exposure, worng shutter speed , bad ISO , but in real life it was cool

Another good opportunity gone wrong

But, I kinda like it because it gives a spooky look to it. It's a moonset, early in the morning, shot completely wrong.... handheld to boot. One of many mistakes!

Looks more like a medical photo. Like the top of the head of a man with thinning hair.
