I spent about an hour at an observation deck watching a Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, and this Red-Shouldered Hawk. It was nearly lunch time for me and apparently also lunch time for this guy. I saw him swoop down into the marsh and then tracked him as he flew into a tree. He was a long way from me so these shots are cropped and then upscaled. Once I processed the photos I saw that he had caught a bullfrog for lunch in the last two photos here.

A few shots of a Great Egret that came flying toward me and then made a couple of loops in front of me. K1ii with DA*300 and 1.4x Tamron TC.

And some geese.

It was a gray morning but the temps were comfortable so I made a trip to a local University to look for birds on their lake. All with K1ii and DA* 300 and some with either a 1.4x or 2.0x TC.

Mallards in flight (with 1.4x Tamron TC).

Great Blue Heron flying away from me. (No TC)

Belted Kingfisher (No TC and cropped quite a bit. Processed with Topaz Photo AI to upscale.)

Outstanding! Here's the only half decent shot of a Belted Kingfisher I have been able to get, with a lot of trying, I'm just showing this to show how outstanding your images are.

Thank you. I had about given up getting a shot. I heard him as soon as I arrived and saw him several times swooping across the water but couldn't get a shot. I was having problems with my DA* 300 focusing with my 1.4x TC attached so I did remove that. When he landed on a branch and I had an unobstructed shot I didn't have my camera up and by the time I did he took off. I was using my K3iii and it did focus quickly as I tracked him and I was able to get these shots. I did have to crop a lot and used Topaz Photo AI to upscale. I've seen him at the same spot the past two trips there so hopefully I can get another chance to see him soon.
