What about crows?
I thought that meant that a person is counting the crows, sorta like when you need to go to sleep you count sheep?

OK I better stop or this thread will take a bad turn. Sorry everyone

Does coming in for a landing count?

if not I'm pretty sure the Eagle circling the back yard will work...

Did I post the duck on a foggy morning here yet?

When the eagles don't show up, there are always some gulls to watch

Flamingos in flight

I think flamingos are one of the greatest birds to watch in flight. Luckily they have returned to endemic visitor status in the wetlands around Cape Town, so a regular photo opp for me. With the new DA*300 I have been able to get much better images than anything previous with the Sigma 170-500.

Hope you also enjoy.

Edit: No idea what happened here - Chrome caching my previous posting?? Anyway:

Nice ones Kevin! Here's a couple from iSimangaliso/St. Lucia, taken with the SMC 55-300. Hard to beat the DA* on sharpness!

Taking off!

In flight.

Graceful in flight - less graceful on take off and landing

It was 15 degrees with moderate wind, a bone chilling morning for a nut with a camera, but these guys look warm on their early morning breakfast run
