Far out, you would have to be happy with that image

I managed a few eagle shots that were keepers (posted below) but the gull put the biggest smile on my face.

This one would have been great but I missed focus slightly and it's a little soft.

Unfortunately I manage to clip one wing, but sheer luck is how I managed this.

Hello,

I am trying to find out if only shots taken with Pentax equipment are allowed to be uploaded in this thread.

Many thanks for your assistance.

I don't own this thread - I just look and comment occasionally. So I don't know what the the rules are for this thread.

Maybe some of the others might be able to offer advice on this.

Hi Tony. The 1st page of the thread mentions Pentax equipment, but this thread has also been merged with another, so I don't think it would be a problem to use other branded cameras. Good luck.

Generally, Pentax only is applicable to the Competitions, especially the Monthly and Weekly ones. Otherwise, images from other brands are acceptable.

So maybe this kestrel is less of a classic BIF and more of a bird-getting-annoyed-with-photographer. I still like it though!

Coming Home.

This one I have been very pleased with the way it came out. The reason being is that when I first spotted the gull, I was right in the middle of swapping out lenses.

This shot was taken at Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach, Oregon, August of 2015.

No EXIF data except what I can recall. It was taken with a Nikon D70 body and a Nikon AFNikkor 70~210mm non D Lens.

Thanks so much for viewing.

Nice photograph.

I realized this winter that not all hummingbirds migrate South for the winter, and North for the summer. A few of them that apparently stay here year 'round began hovering outside my window, as if to ask why the feeders weren't full of nectar and hanging up.

So I have been putting up two and fussing over keeping them thawed out when it freezes.

And the local population has been very active, all winter.

I guess you liked that picture so much you felt the need to share it twice.
