Another outing to Prime Hook trying to get skimmers feeding. It is difficult to predict tides in the marsh area, this was 3 hours after high tide at the inlet but the tide was still very low. The birds were way out. These were taken at 600mm the first with a minor crop. I just got them flying way out or overhead going from pool to pool to feed.

Really stunning photos in this tread! I want to contribute, but have next to no bird photos. How about a Dolphin in Flight photo?

Nice shooting Bob but I think I'd bump your shutter speed up a notch or two.

K-1 and Sigma 150-500 Bigmos at 500mm.

very nice We don't have hummingbirds here in NZ, but I saw some at a feeder in New Mexico when I was visiting in July. What I found out real fast is they are slippery little suckers to photograph....
