When I was little, ravens were a rare sight in Denmark. Protection has worked, and happily they have been increasing in numbers the last few decades.
The other day we found a record sighting: 39 ravens coming in to rest in a small wood for the night.

Not all 39 would agree to visit the same focus plane. But here's a bunch of five!

This was too close to get the whole bird in, but I probably got about as good a look at a pelican's face as I ever will.
