MTB selfie tonight. I rode with a small tripod on my pack for doing some panos but decided to use it for this too while I was at it.
Well done!

Not a self-portrait, but it is me at the kite field back in 1999. Taken with a 1 megapixel digicam:

Before and after

Two Saturdays ago my bestie was asked to live stream a customer getting a haircut to promote a new barber shop and I volunteered. Part of my motivation was one of my lady friends had asked if I was intentionally going for a mountainman look. I replied, “No... I want to look like a Radical Leftist. You know, a Democrat.” The other motivator is it would be FREE.

Due to Covid rules the barber could not trim up 7 months of unrestricted beard growth. So I ordered a beard trimmer and put it to use this past Saturday.

The before photo: cell phone shot in my office while I was over caffeinated and on a sugar high.

The after photo: This is the same living room set up with the closed pocket doors in the background. Again using a Lume Cube Pro and Lume Cube Mini. I haven’t gotten around to rigging a backdrop holder. But I shot earlier in the day so the light from a window acted somewhat as a hair light. My glasses are crooked but next time I’ll be aware to check for that.

A friend commented that I look like a famous author in the after photo but I attribute that to the turtleneck. Everyone looks like an author or a poet in a turtleneck.

2020 Fatigue Syndrome sufferer?

Thanks for the compliment uncle v. In the previous photo I applied a little texture smoothing. In this one, I slightly mussed my hair and averted my eyes for effect. It prevented getting the catch lights in my eyes and (I think) darkening the mood. In post I pushed the texture and clarity and dehaze sliders more to the right to accentuate the facial lines.
