Ha! Take that WR Lenses!

Here I was thinking I was going to have to spend a billion bucks on a 28-105 WR lens... when I forgot I was actually a level GENIUS and thus spent $15 and came up with this!

Perfect for our Aussie climate too! Shooting in the shade aw yeah!

'Mo'vember (as opposed to 'Mono'vember) means 'grow a moustache' in November!

Quite a popular thing to do here in Australia. Some workplaces do it as a team thing for charity hehe.

Same holds true here in Canada, although now that politicians have been spotted with month long facial growths, I think interest is on the wane. I can't show you my Movember stashe because whiskers won't grow above my mouth, just below and to the sides.

I needed a suitable photo of myself to get business cards printed, so instead of going to a Wal-mart for a studio package I decided on a DIY solution instead. My wife didn't have time to assist me while I experimented with different setups at home, so I was left to my own devices. The shot below was taken with a single on-camera flash, no modifiers with the camera on a tripod set to a 12 secnd delay. I was seated two feet away from the wall and after several autofocus failures, I set my camera to manual focus. A little photo-editing to remove a shadow on the wall, lighten up my left side and remove a couple of points of bright light on the frame of my eyeglasses.
