There were two photos of it on its nose, once because it went through the snow when they probably should have had the skis on it, and another time it went off the end of an ice runway.

We used to supply Cattle stations with supplies by DC3. Here is a shot along the wing, that I took in 1965 The area is Diamantina River Channel Country, West Queensland, past Monikira.
Retinette 1a 1965 Kodachrome. No navigation aids back then, and nothing to put on the maps either. You navigated by experience.
