Don't know what this one is. From the same Tatoo as my previous posts. This is not a B/W image. The grey Ohio sky matched the plane color very nicely.

Tim
Mitchell B25 medium bomber. Same model as this one:

I have an hour of right seat time in it. An experience of a lifetime.

sorry off topic

but if you want advice on a movie

I can recommend " Dunkirk " which opened Thursday in my area, I saw it Saturday

Dunkirk (2017) - IMDb

very good, IMHO, YMMV

Spitfires and "ME 109s" featured along with "Heinkel HE 111 2 engines bomber " and Junkers Ju 87 Stukas ( ? )

SPOILER ALERT

[ for details - Dunkirk – Filming the Aerial Scenes for the Epic Movie | Warbirds News which includes an official trailer link]

extended 5 minute trailer

El Al 747

El Al 747 on preliminary approach to JFK against an overcast sky on Sunday afternoon, 7/23. Taken with a K-3II and a FA 100-300mm lens at 300mm. I was at a polo match when it flew overhead.

this guy could pick up a ton or two (20 )

the CH 54 "Sky Crane "

it doesn't appear that many if any hitch hikers would fit in the front with the crew

but as pictured, with its "People Pod" it could ferry personnel, as well as small vehicles and artillery pieces

Trimotors at Oshkosh 1985

A Ford Trimotor and a Stinson Trimotor at the EAA Airshow in Oshkosh in 1985. These aircraft flew during the airshow and there were other trimotors flying every day with passengers. Taken with a Pentax ME with 55mm ƒ/1.8 lens.

Nice looking airplanes.

From a time when commercial air travel was a luxury, and passengers were treated like royalty. What a great way to travel.
