Thanks Steve. That Sea Fury is a mighty plane. Apparently it was still in service in the Korean War and was capable of shooting down the MIG-15, and having seen its performance on Saturday I can believe that.

The Sea Fury is one of my favorite piston engine aircraft. Here's a relatively poor scan of the negative from an image of a Sea Fury as it took off. I took it with my Program Plus and SMC Pentax 55mm ƒ/1.8 lens at the EAA Airshow in Oshkosh in 1985. The shot was taken on Kodacolor II film.

Ditto. Here is one of my favorite more contemporary aircraft; so ugly only a mother could love.

A couple from a recent airshow - featuring the Red Arrows. I was a fair trek away from the 'centre' of the show, but the planes fly directly over my parent's garden every year, so we make an event of it (this time, BBQ included)!
