Agree! That seems a risky maneuver for a helicopter at that altitude !

Thank you guys! @paulh The Apache helicopter is super agile but the compression effect of the tele lens gives you the feeling that it flies very close to the church but there is quite a distance that separates them

Nice catch with the Apache redpit

One of the Faux09's ( Hispano Buchon) based at Duxford has recently returned from filming for the upcoming film Dunkirk with her 1940 markings still applied.

Thank you my friend! Your Hispano Buchon set is great. Beautiful angles and the smoke from the exhausts in the 2nd one is a rare sight! What camera-lens combo did you use? (if it is OK to share it with us of course)...

K5 and Sigma 50-500, upgraded the lens this year to the newer version with OS and better focusing. For some reason the other half shows no sign of wanting to use the old one. Possibly because the one time she picked it up she overbalanced....

Few more from the same weekend.

Superb work as usual, vespa.

A couple shots from the old CAF hangar in Camarillo Calif. in 2007. A Japanese fighter of some sort - I don't believe it's a Zero..or is it?

Thanks, I believe you are correct. Here's the lowdown on this very plane, right from the CAF website:
Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero | CAF SoCal

Great b/w, Tom!

Superb work Vespa! You're a great aviation photographer I can say from your samples I really love the Bearcat-Tempest formation as those ultimate props are my favourite planes.
