A British Columbia taxi, the de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver, departing from Ganges Harbour at Salt Spring Island.

Current CCAR registry information says this 1958 plane is now flying out of Prince Rupert for Ocean Pacific Air Services Ltd.

Victoria Harbor is a great spot to see DeHavilland products,
From a trip we made over there in 2009, with my K200 & 18-250, from the ferry in and out:

Douglas A-3 taxiing to its position on the flight line after landing at NASA Ames for the 1981 airshow. Notice that it's dragging its drogue chute behind it.

That "toy" is a pretty convincing airplane Noel. Looks like the real article, like the Alaska bush planes.

Thanks Racer X 69. I thought so too, and I wish I had my 500mm lens with me for a closer shot. The Tamron 70-300 had to do duty, so it is quite a heavy crop.

Paul,

What you can't see is the other side of the aircraft. Instead of "Illegitimatus Non Carborundum", it says "Air Power" and , instead of "Bernies Bo" (which apparently should have been "Bernie's Bo"), it has "Jolly Roger" as the aircraft name and has a different piece of art! A little confusing, to say the least...
