U.S. Navy F/A-18E Superhornet gear down and locked on downwind 16R JAN. Assigned to VFA-105 Gunslingers stationed at NAS Oceana, VA. I kept hearing jet traffic but not the usual USAF T-1s, C-17As or Marine T-45Cs that are usually in the pattern but every time I stepped out to get a look at these guys they were too far away to get a shot. So I decided to sit on the patio and wait to see if they made another pass, they did make one more so I got a few shots but should have used a bit higher shutter speed (dumb photographer) as I'm use to the leisurely pace flown by the other aircraft and the wider traffic pattern they fly. These Navy jet jockeys fly a tight pattern indeed. K-3 55-300 PLM @300mm.

Hello,

This abandoned aircraft has been there for years. This is near the airport so I think at the time it was probably still airport land.
Test pics from January 2021 of a refreshed Pentax MX, tested with a Kodak Gold 100 roll expired almost a decade ago.

Thanks,

You can plug registration numbers into google and it will find the plane, I've tried it with US and Canadian planes with great success

Nice shots,

I found more information: This abandoned DC4 was involved in a taxiing accident in 1992 when it hit a parked aircraft and caught fire. I thought it was longer than that.

Thanks,
