keeping an old thread alive, here is one from a former resort hotel, later turned prisoner interrogation camp during WWII:

That's a really good Picture. Well captured with the light.

thanks. i was trespassing on this property in the dark, completely moonless night and unfamiliar with the place. finally found my way there and was a little scared. as morning approached, I could see well enough to explore each floor of the hotel and as I passed the fireplace, suddenly two startled rabbits lept out and ran across my feet out of the building through that hole in the wall. I just about had a heart attack, but noticed the suspended dust catching the sunlight and knew there was a picture in there somewhere, lol.

As this thread seems to have been resurrected I'll join in.

A recent shot taken at an abandoned Power station in Belgium.

I love this thread. So many fascinating shots! Let's hope it doesn't die again...

I took a walk around Albany, Oregon, while I was up visiting my parents for Christmas. The town came out looking a little more ragged in the pictures than I had thought of it before. It's actually a pretty nice place.

I got lost, but I think I found myself. Or, I will soon. Maybe. It's good to see I wasn't forgotten, though. Like this house was forgotten.

I love the lighting and composition of that one.

This was a produce market in downtown Phoenix once. It's been empty for decades, though.

Fascinating photos in this thread, poignant and moving. There's not much "urban" hereabouts, but there is lots of rural decay. This neglected 100+ year old brick building is gradually decaying. One of the last occupants in the rental apartment on the second floor made some interesting art on the bricks:

Climbing the Walls Details are better if opened in a new window to see it enlarged. For some reason it won't present as such in the thread.

Istanbul downtown, off Taksim Square.

Agia Irini church in Topkapi Palace complex. To think about it, this was one of the better looking corners.
