Was taking ho-hum photos of a lady bug when the mirror slap set off her spidey...er ladybug sense and she took of away from me and 1/8 in out of focus. Sigh...

Old thread but neat and worthy of a few bumps!

Scissor Tailed Flycatcher. Just about to land on the wire, I thought my shutter speed was ok but missed the focus...

So then a pair were tussling over a spot on the wire, missed the focus again AND got one with its head hidden behind a wing...

Fun thread.

This is the only one I have handy as most have been deleted, such as my Mount Rushmore-at-night shots...(the only one in focus is pretty good, but not as good lighting...)

Funny thing about this shot is I have a perfectly sharp shot taken from a different angle just before this one of, how should I say, a particularly pointed portion of anatomy belonging to the mammal on the right. I "thought" I focused and recomposed on this one - apparently not.

Dammit, I was so sure that I had nailed this shot perfectly, but when I processed it on my computer and saw that it was slightly out of focus...
