V is for - would you believe? - VOMITING. The gentleman, with his boy companion (common in classical Greece) is an attendant at a symposium where men talk politics and philosophy and drink a great deal of wine (some things don't change). It's unclear whether he's ill from drinking too much, or is vomiting on purpose to make room for more drink.

Probably the latter, though I seem to understand the Romans were fond of this sort of thing. Probably learned it from the Greeks.

X for XYLOPHONE, or at least I think that term can be applied to this hammer-struck, wooden instrument even though it is much simpler that a jazz or concert style xylophone. The pictured instrument probably has some other folk name.

Y - Young Zombitse sportive lemur. They are nocturnal, but this youngster popped out its head to look at the tourists. We didn't linger
for long. I know how I would feel if people disturbed my sleep...
