V for VICTORY. This statue of the goddess Victory, over life size, was made in 160CE. This is a plaster duplicate on display in Berlin. The bronze original disappeared shortly after the end of WWII and hasn't been seen since, at least by anyone willing to admit they saw it.

The rendering is at least as pleasing as I get from an 85mm soft.

I for ICE. Window frost photographed late in the day, after the ice had somewhat melted and refrozen, but also sublimated leaving an unexpected surface pattern that showed up when I switched from natural light, which came from behind, to strobe, coming from the front.
