As you can see from the road, I was sitting in the car. Had one of those little bean bag gizmos on the Bigma tripod foot, leaning out the window bracing the lens atop the outside rear view mirror, holding my breath, and hoping. Here's a better (sharper) pair of javelinas (aka collared peccary) in a wildlife park.

Merkel

M is for MERKEL. In 1909, the basic configuration of motorcycles was pretty well established: modified down tube to support engine between feet; gas tank between knees; chain drive, squeeze brake on handlebars. Major changes were shaft drive in some (especially BMW) and more recently belts to replace chains. Of course, this one, even in its day, was a motorized bicycle more than a true motorcycle.

Quabbin

Q is for QUABBIN RESERVOIR the primary water source for Boston. Several towns were depopulated and dismantled to create this huge reservoir. Cemeteries were dug up and all the residents were re-interred. IQ has suffered quite a lot in this scan from a slide. I've been collecting a few "Q" pictures, as this seems to be a troublesome letter.

Urinate

U is for URINATE. Hope no one is offended by this one. Members of my local camera club thought it was a hoot. And ARN, those are really nice tulips
