Town, sitting on a sand and gravel spit, seems secure when you're on the streets, looks terribly vulnerable from this perspective.

Valley, which is actually the extension of a fjord, or vice-versa. You can just about see the dirt/gravel road we drove up.
I've not seen that needs-a-new-washer image before, and it is cool (double-entendre intended). Question/problem: how do we fix that without getting soaked? Turn off the main? That's sissy.
