S is for SURREAL. This is a part of a huge multi-panel mural in a wonderful art museum in Roswell, NM.Roswell should be known for the museum rather than fictitious aliens.

Z is for ZYGOMA (AKA: zygomatic arch or "cheek bone" more-or-less). This fossil from Oregon has an especially large zygoma, which together with its forward positioned eye and short snout indicate it had very powerful jaw muscles. I didn't jot down the name of this fellow, but I'm pretty sure it's an otter or other mustelid. I'll try to check and post a confirmation or correction.
