Fish-hook stringer, from Iceland. A piece of wood is split down its length. As a line is pulled in, the hooks, attached to the main line by side strings, are slid onto the wood to keep them from tangling. Hooks are aligned alternately on both sides of these (only half of the hooks on this stringer are visible in this image), with upwards of 100 or more hooks on a main line more than a kilometer in length.

I insist, initiating such an imitation institution is inimical to our interests, even insulting. Irrespective of your intensions, it's intrinsically irrelevant, illogical or impossible.
