Pentaximus, I love that shot! It reminds me of all the things I _haven't_ learned in photography. If my photos are noisy, they are ugly-noisy, not beautifully grained like this one. If I leave a detail burned out, it looks burned out - but your yellow gun is just perfect. I wish I could do that!

And of course you have a great model there too. That expression of calculated mischief is the best part of the photo! :-)

Thanks so much for the kind words. It certainly helps to have a niece who's cute as a button!

I think most of what you like about it is due to its being a film shot. And not a fancy film, just Kodak Gold 200 in a ZX-5 with F 35-70 lens. This is a scan I made from the negative. I have a nice print of it which I intend to give to my sister-in-law this weekend.
