Not sure I'd get onto a ride called "Kamikaze," in fact, I absolutely would not.

Nkisi N'Kondi (power figure), the last of several images of these statues. For anyone unfamiliar, when someone enters a contract, marries, swears an oath, etc. they do so before one of these statues, then drive a nail or wedge or bit of strap metal into it as witness to the promise made. The spirit represented by the statue insures adherence to the oath by threatening retribution if the promise is broken. It's akin to any kind of "official" promise followed by a signing or "making your mark" on a sheet of paper.

V-Voortrekker Eeufees-Pioneer centenary celebration-a memorial plate. The Voortrekkers refer to the original Dutch pioneers that trekked through the interior of SA from Cape Town, with ox-wagons. The famous or perhaps infamous Battle of Blood River, celebrated on the 16th December, was commemorated on this day when a few Voortrekkers overcame the mighty Zulu nation, They were hugely outnumbered, but were still victorious. it was called the Day of the Vow, after they made a vow to God, that if He gave them victory, they would dedicate this country to Him. Today, what with all the PC talk, that view is largely problematic.

Water tanks. Does drinking and cooking water for the building actually come from these?
