Highest Peak in the "East." = my side of the Mississippi. You can drive pretty close, then there's a paved path long enough and steep enough to have several benches for those who didn't anticipate the hike to rest. And BTW: the lookout is wheelchair friendly, and there was someone pushing a permanently wheelchair-bound individual up. More power to them!!! I'm in reasonably good shape and it was a huff-puff, stand a moment now-and-then climb.

Kestrel I used another kestral a few rounds ago, this is a different pic and different bird. This one has been rescued and is now probably unable to fly.

Northcliff Melville Times. The story behind this- I was demonstrating to the repair man that repaired my Sigma 70-300 DG Macro lens. They had replaced the barrel, and I retrieved the front piece of glass, a magnifying glass. He wanted to know what I was going to do with it, so I demonstrated how I put the glass in front of the FA 35-80mm lens and I can do macro. He was quite amazed, and said in the 30 plus years he has been repairing lenses, he had never come across this before.

The scribbling on the left is their book of records of names of customers and their brands (camera + lenses) and I suspect the number of hours it took to repair the item. and costs.

Here is the macro shot.
