D is for Dogs - african wild Dogs Lycaon pictus

aka Painted Dogs aka cape hunting dogs

only has 4 toes as opposed to other dogs having 5 toes

these were found at the Kansas City Zoo in Kansas City Missouri

the youngest (4 + year old) Borneo Orangutan at the Topeka Zoological Park having fun

Komo (helmet mask), Bamana people, Mali, mid 20th c. Hard to make out what this is supposed to look like. Other helmet masks on display looked like mythical or imaginary creatures, amalgams or composites of multiple actual animals. Perhaps this one is a crocodile.
