Jump! This dog had no trouble clearing his bar-height FYI: Up to age seven, the bar height = dog's shoulder height. At age seven, dogs can reclassify as a "veteran" and the bar is lowered four inches. Some dogs really fly over the bars, but pulling up their hind legs van catch them. Dogs that have trouble, such as our Sheltie, tend to launch themselves too far back so they waste too much effort jumping forward rather than up. Poodles are different - they levitate over the bar. As for border collies, when they approach the bar bows down.

Yes. I well remember Fosbury and the controversy that initially surrounded his new style. I think a similar debate attended introduction of Fiberglas poles to the vault What next? An oversized shot made of aluminum, or sub-size made of lead?? Changing the rules of sport is almost as difficult as adding an amendment to The Constitution. I gather they are eliminating the obligatory four pitches to issue a free walk. Jeepers, Games have been lost because of those pitches.

Someone is restructuring the alphabet again, a process i support and have offered suggestions for, but we seem to have jumped from "M" to "Q" bypassing "N," "O" and "P"
THEREFORE"
1) NIBBLING the grass;
2) ORANGE flower;
and
3) PASSAGEWAY.

ASLYFOX seems to have deleted his "R" post, but if you're reading this, safe to put it back.

SPICES, with a bin of SAFFRON up front, but I'm not sure that pile is entirely made of saffron, considering it's value. Then again, the "organic chili," "Garam Masala" and all the mixed spices are priced at half again as much.
