Sicily or Italy??

just guess based on stone walls. Ireland doesn't have volcanoes or vineyards

It's in the Azores. They allow the grape vines to lie on the ground. The stone walls, made of black volcanic rock, influence both temperature & humidity as well as blocking wind coming off the Atlantic, altogether creating a microclimate favorable for some varieties of grape vines. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, they claim the wine has a distinctive (= superior) taste and they're hoping to export more to the NA market. Good luck. The American wine market is almost as crowded as that for beer, but the reason is that drinkers are always looking for something new and unique. BTW: The Azorians also make a pineapple liquor that is pretty good. I've looked for but failed to find it on sale in the USA. AND ALSO BTW: As in Italy, the weathering of iron-rich volcanic rock (basalt) seems to produce a soil that is conducive to growing grape vines.

Doll house (detail) - believe it or not. In days of old when the rich were really rich, even their doll houses were extraordinary. The figurines are about two inches (5cm) high.

One of the lovely Italian wines from volcanic soil near Naples is a Teroldego. It was great to find a really good one in Ashland, OR!

L is for Lion

"Am I invited to breakfast?"

Lion came up on unsuspecting tourists at picnic ground at hippo marsh in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania

originally none of them saw it, their guides were setting up tables and chairs and arranging breakfast

we were father away and we and other guides yelled a lot drawing attention of their guides who then saw the lion Then I started to take pictures, this is late in the series
