but unlike most board games i am familiar with, there are no turns. You race against unknown others only to find that you have been beaten to the punch and someone has posted ahead of you. You then have to decide "am I feeling flexible or not" ? do you delete your late post, "lick your wounds" and wait for another opportunity?
Recently I had to switch from R to S because I wasn't quick enough with my post, and then I chose to delete my post to allow another to post S even though I was first in time. Luckily an opportunity arose during the same cycle to post the U.
Amazing to me, I was able to fit the same exact photo I chose for R for S and then for U. Although the photo never changed, adjustments had to be made for the descriptions being posted. (see post # #32808 if you are curious.)
and then you have the cheaters among us look at post # #32832. [ who, moi??? ]
all in all, an amusing frustrating addictive game with great photos posted by the other participants
I salute the original poster and those who have kept it going.
by the way, jmschrei could have claimed X as well, look at the interior of the water wheel.
( I wish that X had been claimed, certain letters are hard or at least it is hard to avoid the obvious choice of photograph and post another example. )

Here is a series of "X" s on active duty at the Topeka Regional Airport f.k.a. Forbes Airport in Topeka Kansas - some more obvious than the others - the tail rotors and the ground lines intersecting with the back of the copter.
despite the dark coloring, these are not the infamous "black helicopters" of some people's fears.
I think they are UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters posted to Fort Riley, which is now home to the "Big Red 1" as well as other units. The post has been in continuous existence since 1853 beginning as a Calvary outpost.
