Nesting season can be very hairy if you get too close while photographing a nesting area even if using the big guy and the teleconverter

the geese decide how close is too close. I kept watch and avoid any real problem by retreating when seeing this display

you shouldn't try to approach closely, the worse thing that can happen is you drive them from the nest and thus - well you know
