Icelandic amulet, it reads "God help you." These were carried somewhat in the manner of a rabbit's foot for good luck.

Kilt - hopefully only a few remember that this image was posted several years ago, but there was need for a "K" image.

Joe, I am enjoying your images from Australia; you obviously had a good trip (photog-wise if nothing else!)
You have seen lots of the country that I haven't seen. (My wife & I aren't great travellers, but we love virtual travelling - TV, other peoples travels, etc)
Thanks Rod. Lots of my Australian friends have never been in to the red centre, and I was there for two weeks (although I had the worst cold and did not hike much). I went with a friend from Melbourne who runs a charity supporting an Indigenous women's council, and every year he hosts an extreme walk on the Larapinta Trail west of Alice Springs—a great experience. I still have a lot of photos to process.

OF COURSE! set the delayed shutter, tossed the camera, assumed the pose, and the camera triggered before it hit the ground! It was the only technique available before the advent of selfie-sticks.

Quartet of intertwined dragons. Darned if I can sort them out, but the carving does seem to have a quadrilateral symmetry. If you look carefully, you can find a dragon's head biting another(?*) dragon's tail at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.

* They're so tangled it's hard to be sure each dragon is not biting its own tail.

Toothbrush. A pair taken to show the advantage of focus stacking for macros of stationary objects. The first image taken @ f16, the second a stack of about 20 taken @ f4 with the same lens (Tokina 90mm macro).
