Very different from our little Sheltie. She will wade in far enough to get her paws wet, no more. Unlike a flat-coated retriever that a friend of M's used to have. That dog would go out into any pond or stream, roll in the tiniest puddle or moist muddy spot. I think he would try to roll in his water bowl.
