Instead of enjoying life some people have gotten too old to remember their own childhoods and have suddenly developed this unstoppable urge to get all PC about anything involving a gun. Take a chill pill!
Yea, i'll take the chill pill anyday. And though I agree with you about allowing children to enjoy life, the fact remains that there is more danger to that kind of toys than dumb parents realise. in point of fact one of the sad things in the pic is the absence of any parental presence let alone control. I may be wrong, but that gun looks real.
Or perhaps you have not known the pain of a lost child through a needless playing w ith a gun, or a child who maimed another through a gun. Sir, some of us live in a real world where guns are not toys but destructive things. It has nothing to do with old age but with how we raise our children. I for one never gave my son a gun, a principled decision BTW, and any gift he got that was a gun (even a water pistol) was replaced with something else. He is now 18, I am still to regret that decision.
There are other more constructive ways to allow children to have fun.
The chill pill is rather bitter!
