Juggler. He was standing in deep shade (in front of a small-scale replica of the Venice tower). Bringing out tone and color on him while keeping the background from going to eye-straining brightness has flattened the contrast, much as in an HDR image. Kicking up the contrast causes the background to go garish. So, an imperfect compromise.

I can manage the big day-flying moths, but the little cryptic ones are an identification nightmare. I can, with effort, get to the general category or type, but confident specific identifications are elusive.
