Jack-in-Pulpit. These may be good for the next couple of weeks for occasional posting @ "J.'
As I sit here at the laptop out in our sun room, there's a pileated woodpecker making its distinctive drumming call on a tree at the edge of the wildflower garden. Wonderful sound, but I don't understand how they manage to find trees that always resonate at just the right pitch.

Posterior of a Pug mug, and the mug of the Pug on the Pug mug. I won this cute thing in a raffle at one of our agility meets. All such events have multiple raffles for volunteer workers of miscellaneous pet-related items. You generally get two raffle tickets for each job you do. Pugs are really cute dogs, and I thought this mug was a riot, so I put all six of my tickets into the jar.
