Venus. It can be seen from South Africa as well as from MessyChewBits! Imagine that.
BTW: What I discovered a short time after I took this picture during our rest stop in the middle of the PM wildlife drive - - a lioness had approached to within maybe 75 feet (20 meters) of where I was standing, unseen in the darkness and obviously unheard.
