W is for WOVEN. This pottery is famous for a woven, open basketwork style.

Y is for YOKE. I thought about using the "woven" for "X," but I have some others.

A-Anchor-from the War museum, in case anyone is wondering about such a maritime connection in a city like Johannesburg. We do not even have a river close by, let alone an ocean.
