Yarrow leaf. I don't think that xanthophylls are present in animals.

Animals eat the plants and fruits, so they certainly are, although not necessarily in ways you might notice explicitly. But egg yolks for instance get their color from xanthophylls, and the coloration of certain fish and crustaceans as well as many birds come from xanthophylls.

Somehow my follow-up did not get posted. Xanthophylls are not synthesized by animals, but they are ingested an may be accumulated and used by some animals.
