E is for ENCIRCLE which is what a school of little fish (killifish?) is doing to a Florida gar.

Nice shot. Looks like a scanned photo.

If you missed WPRESTO's recent "B is for butterfly photo," please do yourself a favor and go back to it. It is perhaps the best butterfly photo I've seen at Pentaxforums, and it is among the best butterfly photos I've seen anywhere. Bravo!

Don't know if I've ever seen one feeding, let alone have a camera anywhere nearby. That is awesome! Well done Professor!

Thanks, Not scanned. The water was a bit murky and the contrast/saturation was low, so I did quite a bit of PP to make the little fish stand out more. Through the water, the detail is inevitably low. I used to carry & use a polarizer routinely, but stopped soon after going to digital, This was definitely a situation where using a filter when the shot was taken would have been better than making adjustments with PP.

Gee whizz! Thanks a gift certificate for the 560mm for those comments*. FYI: a fairly substantial crop from an image made with my old 200mm SMCA ED macro. Hard lens to beat for IQ, but not the easiest lens to use (easy to miss the plane of focus).

*Kidding! Please don't try to collect.

G is for GREEN PEAFOWL, AKA "peacock." but the zoo labeled this fellow as stated. I'll eventually post a couple other images of these almost unreal birds.

Somehow I missed this one - thanks Stu, for pointing it out. I agree - fantastic shot with great color & composition!

Thanks a pile paulh. The picture was taken in a butterfly aviary in Florida, in case no one guessed that I just returned from a short Florida vacation with a card full of new images, mostly wildlife.

And for "I" here's that same bird posted at "G" IMPRESSING A LADY, who looks INDIFFERENT. They were too far apart to get both in focus, so he got the red spot and beep.
