Wandering hippo. They go far from water in search of food, and are very - very! - dangerous to encounter.

noelcmn has pretty much answered you question. Of wild animals, I think that the salt-water crocodile (Crocodilus porosus) accounts for the most human fatalities. In the USA, despite the reputation of rattlesnakes, it is deer that cause the most human fatalities (car accidents) with domestic animals, dogs & cattle, causing more than poisonous snakes or bears or alligators. And many of those rattlesnake bites are among people who keep them as "pets" or because of religious beliefs.

Dahlia approaching and entering the weave poles, an obstacle she seems to enjoy. Sorry for the poor IQ. Lighting at almost all indoor venues is just terrible. Professional photographers who hope to be paid for the pictures they take use FF Nikons that will give decent IQ at stratospheric ISOs

Or golfers looking for a ball in the rough, which happened reasonably often in the Okanagan.

Eagle hunting on the pond. Silly people across the pond put up some netting to keep birds out, but it actually also keeps them in!
Just trying to keep the vowels in the game!

FYI: Many people in the US are bitten by poisonous snakes each year, on the order or 4~5000, but only about five die because anti-venom is very effective and is kept in many medical facility where the snakes are found. In contrast about 40~50 humans are killed each year by domestic dogs, at least ten times as many. Cougars (pumas etc) cause about one death every three of four years, and alligators about one per year. These are long term averages - it's my impression that last year and the first months of this year have had more than the usual number of deaths caused by a wild animal, and also domestic dogs, and also the over 200 annual deaths caused by deer rarely make the news except locally. When a cougar kills someone in California, the whole country knows about it. When someone in Missouri swerves off the road and smashes into a huge tree, the death is hardly known throughout that state.

And human deaths caused by wolves are essentially unknown in North America.
