I is for ICE PLANTS. I posted the yellow variety earlier; here is the pink/lavender form, a blinding color.

And very difficult to capture too! Very frustrating I have found. You did well with this one.

J-Jameson's Mamba. Very similar to our Green Mamba, this one has a bit more color to it, whereas our Green Mamba in almost uniformly green. This one occurs mostly in West Africa. Equally venomous though!

Kouros, a stereotyped statue of a young male, made by the hundreds if not thousands in Greece.

I don't think the color is quite right. It perhaps should be desaturated some more. Some colors seem to be difficult. Chicory has a lovely pale blue flower that was impossible to capture with any slide film back in the days - the color always went more lavender.. Not sure how digital would do as I haven't tried as yet.

Q-Quarrel or quest for dominance, which I have used a few times. Even in the enclosed environment of a Zoo, the instinctive quest for dominance is present.

R is for RUG MAKER. These rugs are tied, not woven. The pattern and silk strands to be tied are above. As you might suspect, her fingers work faster than you can follow what she's doing. The room was dark and I wanted to avoid flash, so the image is a bit soft.
