Thanks- and quite agree. These guys, and others like them can be real pests, as they mimic everything you do. For a fee of course.

V-Vocal- which this lion certainly was, as it responded to the roar of another lion, separated by a fence. Nothing quite like hearing a lion roar.

X is for XYLOCOPA - - AKA "large carpenter bee." small carpenter bees are a different genus. I've been looking for one of these to obtain an image for this thread, and when finally found, no macro equipment in the kit, not even a close-up filter. So the 55-300 had to suffice, and it provided an acceptable if not a quality image. FYI: with a Canon achromatic close-up filter attached, macro quality with the 55-300 is better than this.
