V for VISITOR. While the people were wading/swimming/beach combing, the seal lions came ashore and settled amidst their clothing.

You know, it kinda does! I was trying to figure out what model it was, but I just realized you can read the lot number in the sticker on the windshield. It's a Volkswagen Type 3 "Squareback" wagon. The resemblance is even stronger from the other angles on the car's page:
