COLT. Engraved and gold inlaid, presented by Colt to Sultan Abdulmecid of Turkey in 1854. The identical mate was presented to Czar Nicholas I and is now in the Hermitage. Russia and Turkey were at war (Crimean War) so Colt personally promoted his firearms to both sides. When your business is death, war is an opportunity.
